Drumcondra Education Centre is committed to supporting educators and parents in the community in general and teachers in particular - whether actively involved in a teaching or an administrative role within the education network. The Centre is particularly interested in facilitating avenues for professional development, professional support and capacity building.
Teachers, schools and the system as a whole need to change and re-energise to meet new needs. The Centre endeavours to anticipate system needs and to encourage and support teachers and schools to innovate, develop and grow.
It offers professional support to a variety of education groups. These include subject associations or self-selecting groups with particular areas of interest e.g. Learning Support Teachers, Principals.
In partnership with Trinity College, Dublin and the University of Ulster, Northern Ireland, the Centre is committed to the provision of postgraduate award bearing courses where a teacher can attain a postgraduate diploma and masters degree. We will endeavour with our partners Trinity College to continue to develop and provide diploma courses. Details of post-graduate courses are available from Trinity College of phone: (01) 696 1989.
